The lights are on
As promised earlier today in our cover announcement story, we present three screenshots from The Last of Us.The images below are only a taste of the over 20 great shots that appear in the March issue. Be sure to click on the screens to get a better look.
Combat includes both gunplay and melee attacks. Weapons will break after repeated use, so you'll have to scavenge around for new items frequently.
Most post-apocalyptic worlds are bleak and gray. Naughty Dog utilizes natural growth to spice up the color palette and add a sense of the abnormal. Notice the yellow bridge in the background? Yep, this is Pittsburgh.
The developers stress that The Last of Us is not one long escort mission. Although you won't control Ellie in the game, her AI is one of the team's primary areas of focus. In our demo she always managed to keep up, yet stay out of the way. She didn't seem to need any babysitting at all.
Be sure to check back and visit the hub all month long for more on The Last of Us.

Sounds like a good concept going in. However I have my concerns about the game length and what the main point of it is. Keeping my fingers crossed on this.
Gorgeous! The game looks beautifully done.
This looks pretty nice, but its said to only be 7-9 hours of game play. I would hope its not linear and exploration is possible
Looks great. Doesn't look as good as the trailer, though. Which I knew it wouldn't. But it's def the best looking game on consoles from the looks of it.
"This is Pittsburgh" Ahh F**K the Steelers! hahah
I NEED this issue now. Hurry up USPS!
This game looks awesome. Can't wait to see it in action.
These are gorgeous! I'm still excited for this game.
I'm worried about how good the gunplay will be. I still cringe at the thought of combat in the Uncharted series.
looks kinda like nate drake. wouldn't it be crazy if it was...
ok there are more pictures good. i was about to say
ok good i was about to say this pics do noting for me
Looks good. I will definitely be looking into this one.

Contain your fangasms please. This is getting rather uncomfortable. Yes we get it, its all in-game. This really shouldn't come as a surprise to people by now. Looking at Uncharted 2 and 3 this just seems like another game made by Naughty Dog. I am looking forward to this because I heard Open- World, and Naughty Dog, in the same sentence. Not because it looks pretty, like every game in this day and age should.
Since when did this become the featured article? I've been this visiting this site every FIVE MINUTES. However, these screens are really awesome and this game sounds like I could actually play it; it sounds like a good choice for month long coverage.
I'm already in love with this game.
Wow-wee! Next gen next generation game graphics!
Is this really going to be in a open world? With these graphics?
I'm not interested yet though, until I hear more game play details.
I love Naughty Dog, but I smell a game concept that is based on a new-ish popular genre, the "Apocalypse-wasteland-that-may-or-may-not-have-zombies".
I have high hopes for this game; I just hope it won't let me down.
