The lights are on
Star Wars: The Old Republic seems to be off to a hot start. EA said today the game has generated 1.7 million active subscribers since launch. Additionally, the publisher said its new MMO has sold through more than 2 million units to date.
"Star Wars: The Old Republic is developing a committed community of players with more than 1.7 million active subscribers and growing," said EA CEO John Riccitiello.
Star Wars: The Old Republic launched on December 20 in North America and Europe.
I have fun with it.
Too bad I don't always have time to have that fun. :-)
Good game though.
i'm getting it friday!!!
I loved KOTOR, but have no interest in this game.
Considering it's Star Wars... Yup, makes sense.
Yah, I think the Star Wars brand is carrying the game. From a technical standpoint, it's very dated. Felt like I was playing a new old game... Not worth a subscription at this point IMO.
Guild Wars 2 seems worth a subscription, but doesn't have one. Funny how things work in this world, huh?...
It's got a plethora of bugs but I enjoy it!
I don't like the pvp grind at 50 which is clearly WoW inspired. I like the PvE though
theyll probably raise the level caps soon in a next expansion for it ill probably get it wen i get my alienware desktop this year
Seems like a nice start but it seems 300,000 people bought the game and quit playing it after just over a month... Not sure if this is a normal thing with MMOs but one month seems like a short time to play a MMO. Wondering if more people will cancel their subscriptions or if it will just go up from here.
Good for them. I want to pick this up at some point and join the rest of my friends that have lost their lives to this game.
Really want this, but have never got myself to pay the subscription, if sales keep going it might convince me.
I plan on picking up my copy as soon as it is released on MAC
Way to go, Bioware!! Another gem in the collection!
Excellent. I'm happy to be one of them.
