Fake Batmen, Unite! Gotham City Imposters Lands A Release Date

The Gotham City Imposters' beta received high praise from the Game Informer staff, and in one short week, gamers across the world will get to experience the FPS multiplayer madness for themselves.

Warner Bros. has locked the game in for a February 7 release date on Xbox Live, PlayStation Network, and PC. The entry charge is $15.

I haven't gotten my hands on it just yet, but I did watch a few of the Game Informer staffers play a few matches, and I gotta say, it looks fun. Nothing about it really screams "Batman," but there's something about bouncing around on trampolines and raining down rocket launcher fire onto Batman cosplayers that appeals to me.

We'll put the game through its paces when it launches and will hopefully have a review up right around launch.

  • Played the beta, loved it. There is a huge amount of content for $15. The game is really fun and is a nice change of pace.

  • I tried the beta I gotta say it was fun the customize options and gameplay really had me

  • if i were batman i'd use guns; i mean come on. every villian has some sort of gun they use. there has to be a breaking point for batman where he's like "man f this s. tired of bein' shot and shot at. ROBIN!! GO GET THE BAT-RIFLE."
  • I thought the beta was fun, but I'll probably skip this because of the big games coming out.
  • I have been ADDICTED to the Beta of this. I'm gonna be jonesing real hard in the time between the end of the Beta and the full release.
  • Played the beta all weekend. It's a lot of fun. I'll get this next week, but probably won't be touching it until I've experienced all that Kingdoms of Amalur has to offer, which will take a while.
  • Resident Evil : Misspelled Subtitle, Azura's Quicktime Event Palooza, Kingdoms of Amalamding dong, The Mike Patton doing creepy ass voices 2, and now Batman Gotham Imposters is coming out on the 7th as well? Well dip me in mustard and call me Apple, I'm going to broke soon.
  • I've been playing this over skyrim for the past week.

  • I played the beta. Good fun. Fast paced. Awesome gadgets. Seems like probably a no brainer for $15.

  • first time playing the Beta I wasn't sure how I felt. It's funny and catchy but the controls seemed loose. After playing again I realized that was half the fun.

  • I look forward to the cosplay... in the game, of course.  ^^

  • playing the beta on ps3 it is awesome although some times there are no matches wich in a beta isnt a good sign

  • Can't say enough good things about this game.  A few tweaks to help wiht the matchmaking, and this could well be the best DLC game of the year.

  • This is such a fun game.

  • F*cking love this game! I honestly cannot wait 6 more days!

  • The customization really makes the game. I like being the skinniest person with a movement speed perk and roller skates. No one can see me at capture the flag.

  • that over used rocket launcher, what has the gaming community become -_- All i use is the assult rifle and mega-horn. Assist team in defence, kills, and healing, and get mega points :P

  • This game is awesome, very cool unlocks and it introduces some really fun fun traversal methods.   $15 dollars is a steal cant wait.

  • I feel like this game is going to take off. Just like TF did

  • The beta was alright. I just couldn't get into it all that much. I just feel like the game needs a little bit of work on balancing out the weapons. I also always ended up on the losing team somehow, but that's a different story. But other than that, it was actually a pretty neat idea.
