First Screenshot Of The Amazing Spider-Man Game

Activision has released the first in-game screenshot of The Amazing Spider-Man video game, due out later this year. Check it out below!

Developer Beenox is returning to the open-world, web-slinging gameplay we've all come to know and love. The game is based in New York City, shortly after the events of the upcoming film.

The publisher hasn't revealed a release date quite yet. You can go check out the debut trailer for the game from late last year right here.

    I could go for a -good- Spidey game. Not terribly optimistic about my chances here, though.

    The graphics don't look bad at all. I'm keeping my eye on this one, hopefully it doesn't suck.

    Character animation looks good, the open world looks big and detailed. Can't wait to see more!

    Wow, spoiler alert. You said it takes place after the movie so now we all know that Spider-Man must defeat the bad guy and survive. Now the whole movie is ruined for me...

    loved Shattered Dimensions. hopefully the reason Edge of Time sucked was because Beenox diverted resources to this game.

    Is it possible that by open world you mean "totally awesome like the open world spider on ps2?"

    I'm not a comic/super hero fan , but that was one hell of a game!

    Good ol' Spidey is my favorite superhero. He's extremly beast. I'm getting this game for sure.

    The city is reminiscent of Mirrors Edge.

    Like Mray said, I'll also keep my eye on it. The brightness of the buildings remind me of Mirror's Edge's look. Which I loved.

    I'm a little cautious of this. Spider-Man games have always been.. not so great.. I'll wait for reviews before deciding on making a purchase

    I'm so glad Spidey's games are back to open world environments. hopefully this game is as good or better than Spiderman 2

    Most of the buildings are some shade of white, I thought it was Mirror's Edge at first. Hopefully this will be fun, the first few Spiderman games for PS2 were great.
