Nintendo Celebrates Valentine's Day With 3DS

The Pink Pearl 3DS has already released in its own limited-edition bundle, but this Valentine's Day Nintendo is giving this colored handheld its own special love.

The Pink Pearl 3DS will be available as a standalone unit, retailing for $169.99. Although this offer celebrates Valentine's Day on the 14th (consider this your reminder), the Pink Pearl will go on sale on February 10.

In the spirit of this offering, we predict that Nintendo will offer a brown 3DS for Arbor Day , a red-white-and-blue unit for 4th of July, and a puke-colored handheld for the day after St. Patrick's Day.

What about an exploding 3DS for Independance Day? You have to pay $169.99 for an exploding 3DS+a free Mario game,it's explodes after 15 mins of playing,just like a demo!

I think it is funny companies think, "Hey if we change the color, people will buy it!" If you are going to buy something like a 3DS it is about the 3DS ITSELF and the GAMES not the color.

interesting gimmick... I wish they would make the original Nintendo two-tone grey available. Metallic grey is usually the closest you can get.
