The lights are on
Namco Bandai announced three download content packs for Soulcalibur V.
The first pack is available when the game launches on January 31 in North America and February 3 in Europe. Each piece of content will be priced at $1.99 or 160 MS points and comes loaded with "exclusive new customization items and music that players can then unlock in-game."
Below are the details for each pack:
Pack 1: Launch Day
Pack 2: Valentine’s Day February 14th
Pack 3: February 28th
Oh yay, another game with day one DLC.
The packs sound really nice. I like them all.
Not just putting all those customization options in the game is just plain stupid. The industry is pretty stupid nowadays so it's to be expected.
This game probably won't even be worth the time.
Wow. I personally have no problem with this since it's all pretty dang cheap. Definitley getting that day 1 customization stuff though. Those bikin-I mean, wings.
I feel like their is a disconnect between what gamers expect, and what game developers have to do. It seems many people don't understand that these day 1 DLCs come about as the downtime between when a game goes gold and actually ships. The publishers aren't going to pay the developers for sitting there a month or more.
DLC announcement before a game is even printed? I can't stand when companies do this. Just put it on the disc.
Well at least it's not something like levels and characters. This is just extra content that doesn't really add to the overall experience. ( Except fapping factor..?)
I'm still very excited for this game. Kinda bummed Talim isn't in but oh well.
