The lights are on
BlizzCon will be back in 2013, but this year Blizzard is not holding the now semi-annual convention to focus on game production.
Fans are likely disappointed, but it's hard to complain too much when it means that Blizzard will be focusing on getting Diablo III, StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm, and World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria out in 2012.
Blizzard also wants to devote more attention to the 2012 Battle.net World Championship which is taking place in Asia at the end of the year.

lol can't have a convention when you've got nothing new to showcase huh? :P
Just get Diablo 3 out now. I'll be fine
Blizzard is oh the down fall with world of warcraft in my opion
Actually Kyle its harder not to complain at this point. Besides their WOW games Blizzard has been resting on their laurels. Its bad enough they no longer deliver full games anymore (starcraft2) and its even worse that they keep pushing a long awaited game each year. At this point I am pretty confident that Blizzard wont release Diablo 3 at the end of 2012 and that fat *** Kotick will make sure that if it is released it will be released in halves Eg: like Starcraft 2 you may get to play one of the story campaigns (terran) like say one of the classes in this case like the Barbarian another couple of years and there is Diablo 3.5 Which will be another single player mission with a necromancer or something.
Huh, I wonder if they are being lazy, broke, or completely honest...
I really don't understand what is wrong with Blizzard. They delay Diablo 3 by adding major changes that are not even required. The dev team is just taking way to much time in making their minds up. Just release the game already and improve it with patchs. Changing your whole game, just shows that their team lacks confident.
Blizzard has just lost its touch in making games good. SC2 was a great example, how can you forget to add chat channels in a online blizzard RTS. Seriously how many things are you going to keep changing in Diablo 3? Just release the game and patch adjustments, changing the things in a game always just shows how well the dev team can handle the project.
Yeah, I'm a little bumbed that there won't be a Blizzcon this year. I'm more upset with the fact that Diablo 3 looks like WoW. ...yes people I went there.
We'll be fine. Things like this happen all the time. They'll be back with a bang.
Well i mean no blizzcon but more games. Not a bad idea to think of it.
