Rumor: Chris And Leon To Star In Resident Evil 6

Resident Evil 6 hasn't been publicly announced by Capcom yet, but that hasn't stopped rumors from surfacing about its next major title.

According to a report on VentureBeat, Resident Evil 6 will feature Chris Redfield and Leon S. Kennedy as main protagonists. The website says Ada Wong will also be making an appearance, but in an unknown capacity.

VentureBeat's sources also say Resident Evil 6 is being developed internally by the same Japanese studio that worked on the previous iterations of the main series. As far as gameplay goes, the team is aiming a for a cross between Resident Evil 4's action/horror and the action-heavy Resident Evil 5. This information comes to VentureBeat from "a reliable source within Capcom."

The company recently began a viral campaign "No Hope Left" for what could be a tease for the next main Resident Evil game. We'll hopefully know more later today.

My only hope is that we can move and shoot. Perhaps we can also have a little more of the cheesy, B-grade horror of the Resident Evils before 5. Oh, and no more Wesker.

I sincerely hope the majority of this game takes place indoors at night. Something about standing in the middle of a sunny desert doesn't really create tension for me. Resident Evil games have mastered the formula throughout their entire existence. They get progressively good. Five was a great game it just wasn't very scary. They really need to play Dead space and take some inspiration from that. Those games scared the *** out of me.

They're games are getting better and better, it seems like they've perfected the survival horror and action theme they're going for.

I'm really interested in the series as long as they don't bring back the slow moving creepy zombies from the first three. I know its their thing and all but....*shudders*
