The lights are on
Bethesda has released the patch notes for its latest Skyrim update, v1.4.
On a blog post on the company's website, Bethesda says the upcoming patch for Skyrim is currently undergoing testing on all three platforms and hopes to have it finalized next week and submit it for certification on consoles and release on PC.
"Our current update plan for the PC is to first release our updates as 'beta' versions through Steam," they said. "This is something you’ll be able to opt into through Steam and back-out of if needed. This is an extra safety check for everyone going forward and should expedite and improve our updating process for our PC users. We’ll have more info soon on how this will work."
Bethesda said it will continue looking into issues being reported and will release additional updates in the future. "You have all supported Skyrim in a huge way, and we’ll be supporting all of you, and continue to make the game better."
Below are the fixes planned for v1.4:

Man, I was really hoping to see that they were going to fix Aela the Huntress from only giving you Animal Extermination quests after you marry her, but before finishing The Totems of Hircine. It's a small little quirk, but SPOILER:
.
... I really wanted to be able to summon some wolf buddies when I terrorize villages.
*** I was hoping they would fix the bug with the "Under New Management" quest not starting.
All of this is good to hear. I stopped playing about three weeks ago -- not because of the bugs, but because of Star Wars: The Old Republic. I was always willing to play through the bugs for this fantastic game.
That is great!
