Fox Broadcast Programming Coming To Xbox Live

A host of Fox content, from Fox News to Family Guy, will soon be available on Xbox Live.

Through a new partnership with News Corporation (the parent company of Fox TV), a host of Xbox Live apps will launch this year featuring a wide variety of content. The most high profile content is Fox television shows like Family Guy, House, New Girl, and Glee (though the press release did not specifically mention The Simpsons, we hope that show will be included as well).

You'll also be able to access content from other News Corporation outlets like IGN.com and The Wall Street Journal.

In related news, Microsoft also announced some new Xbox Live media deals in other territories including Canada (AstralMedia's Disney XD, Real Sports) and Germany (Mediathek/ZDF).

Really, IGN? Why not GI? I would suspect, since Microsoft has close connections with Gamestop, they would pick GI.

I'd love to see FX content added to this lineup. Archer, Louie, Always Sunny, etc. would be huge additions, in my opinion.

Meh, most of this content is already available in Netflix and Hulu but oh well, if it's free at least those without said services can enjoy a bit of comedy. As for the news, can't quite say I care for Fox News. It would be quite ironic to see some of their anti-video game propaganda on an Xbox.

you can already watch family guy on netflix on your xbox. only really want the first few seasons of the simpsons,and have it be free or really cheap, fox's programming sucks other than their cartoons.

Hmm I wonder if we'll actually get any of the content down here - only just got our first media on the xbox (youtube) late last year. Could be possible that it'll happen as it's New's Corp who already own most of the content in our area of the world (which is why we don't get netflix or hulu or... well pretty much anything). Then again seeing as they have a monopoly on pay televison down here, maybe we wont...

Hopefully old episodes of Fringe. I'm more than a season behind and it is very difficult to keep up.
