  • I am really wondering who will pull off GOTY this time around!
  • Dead Space on iOS was insanely good.

  • why are cod and bf3 considered action games? I strongly disagree, any argument that can be made for those games being action games could be applied to any other game.
  • Oh man, the RPG of the year is a tough choice. Except for The Old Republic, I've played all those games; having to choose one would be like choosing a favorite child.

  • Very good lists. I'm looking forward to see who wins in each category. ^_^
  • First off, very good lists. I think that the mobile game of the year nominees should include Jetpack Joyride, but that is understandable. Finally, what is AIAS?
  • Now that's a d*** good list. Almost makes me forget how insulting the VGAs were.
  • Portal 2 and Skyward Sword. 2 best games of 2011.
  • I think GOTY will be Batman. I can just fell it.
  • I suppose I'm happy with the list, I just kind of wish Dark Souls had at least been nominated for Game of The Year.

  • What was last year's game of the year? And I really wan't uncharted 3 to win it this year! I got lost in the story and couldn't put it down. For the mobile and downloadable awards should go to infinity blade 2 and bastion.
  • Really good nominations this time around. I hope Batman: Arkham City or Portal 2 are selected for GOTY, because Skyrim already took home an award.

  • Wish I had iOS to try infinity blade. And if Microsoft didn't have their pathetic point system intact I would be happy to try many of these arcade games that are listed, like Bastion. I hear it's very good.

  • See this? I like these lists. Multiple games win.

  • GOTY:

    Portal 2

    Innovation in gaming:

L.A. Noire (the facial mocap was absolutely STUNNING)

    Action Game of the Year:

Saint's Row: the Third/Dead Space 2/ Gears of war 3 (preferred Saint's Row)

    Adventure:

    Legend of Zelda

    RPG:

    Skyrim/Deus Ex/Witcher/Dark Souls, can't choose.

    Mobile:

    ??

    Handheld:

    eh

    DLC game of the year:

    Bastion or Ms. Splosion

  • Skyrim and Skyward Sword already won GOTY, its Batmans turn *** it.

  • awesome!!! :P!

  • What did Skyrim do that was so innovative? Bulletstorm should be on that list for doing something different in such an overcrowded genre. Also the lack of Rayman is disappointing but expected.
  • I hope Dark Souls pulls off the upset in the Role-playing category. Skyrim will likely win GOTY, so maybe they'll throw Dark Souls a bone and spread the wealth.

  • I'd love to see Dead Space 2 get action game of the year.  I'm sure (insert war shooter here) will win it, but you never know.
