The lights are on
EA just sent out a press release that said there will also be an in-game exclusive item for PC owners who buy the game through EA's Origin digital distribution channel. Here are the details on the item:
AT-12 Raider Shotgun
The AT-12 Raider Shotgun fires a large pellet spread, ensuring maximum coverage for close-range targets. Designed for superior rapid fire, the AT-12 allows for optimal recovery time between shots.
Customers that pre-order BioWare's long-awaited Mass Effect 3 at GameStop will receive an exclusive assault rifle and armor set.
GameStop issued a press release today detailing the in-game exclusives. Gamers who pre-order Mass Effect 3 with the retailer will receive a code on their receipt that will later be used to redeem the N7 Valkyrie Assault Rifle and the N7 Defender Armor. Here are the details on both items, per the press release:N7 Valkyrie Assault RifleAfter the carnage of the Battle of the Citadel, Alliance officers commissioned a new rifle for their ground forces. A variation of the popular Avenger design, the Valkyrie is now standard issue for new recruits. Exceptionally well-crafted, accurate, and packing ample firepower, the rifle is a hot black-market item on the rare occasion it surfaces.
N7 Defender Armor
The Defender Armor is a variation on the N7 Special Forces’ combat gear, built to protect soldiers in long-running engagements where reinforcements may be sparse. When the wearer fires a weapon, the suit's computers divert energy from the main power cell to the gun's kinetic coils, offering an extra punch. The Defender's storage compartments are designed to hold spare thermal clips, while capacitors throughout the armor provide extra power to shields during critical moments in battle. The armor also comes with an injection system built into the suit and neural-linked bio-monitors that help adjust the wearer's breathing rate and adrenaline levels.

Should I get the Collectors Edition or no??? Decisions, Decisions..
Not a mention of Steam anywhere.
I am not pleased.
Just finished ME2 and have been gaming for some years and this series is a MUST for gamers. You will not be disappointed! The storyline will move even the most cynical gamer.
Alright so it looks like I'll be ordering the Collector's Edition.
The rifle is pretty sweet, not a big fan of the armor though, I like the more sleek stuff
im so pumped for ME3.
Great promos, but it sucks ordering from GameStop because they don't do release date delivery like Amazon.com does. GameStop has to get on the ball and start offering it.
This just keeps on reminding me that I still have to go pre order that collector's edition...
As soon as I tear myself away from Skyrim
*** you, EA.
Where's my Steam version EA?
Please oh please, let this game come to Steam, don't be so evil EA!
Just more bang for my buck. Already have the Collector's Edition preordered from Gamestop, this is just more cool stuff for a will-be epic game.
Meh, not getting this on the PC. Games these days require a lot to run them...
So funny to see the collector's edition people just sitting back and enjoying the view!
Pre-ordered the Collector's Edition months ago~ I was all over this, haha.
I always battle between pre-ordering a game for the bonuses or waiting until the price drops. I've been lucky quite a few times with finding price dropped games that still come with the pre-ordered bonuses in additional packages (like Game of the Year, special editions, or even the pre-ordered bonuses themselves in an original).
Hopefully this will carry over into an already existing preorder.
