The lights are on
Dust: An Elysian Tail was shown off when Xbox Live Indie Games were first being brought about in 2009. That is where the game was meant to release, but upon winning the Dream Play Build Challenge, Microsoft offered developer Humble Hearts a contract to release the game on Xbox Live Arcade.
We haven't heard much of it since then, but Dean Dodrill, the developer of the game, recently said on Neogaf that he promised the game would release this year. That is good news, because Dust looks super slick. Check out some of the gameplay below.

That looks pretty impressive.

It does look pretty slick. Too bad it has a stupid pun in the title. :P
This side scrolling action is something I can get into. Looks great so far.
Reminds me of Muramasa: The Demon Blade :)
Looks like quite a treat. :)
This looked boring, then i saw the trailer. This game is beautiful.
This looks intriguing, I might actually get some points for this.
Holy shiiiiiiiit!!!! That looks amazing. Looks like Vanillaware has some serious competition. This is definitely on my radar now.
holy doo doo
The animation is gorgeous!
Geez, I'd buy it for the gorgeous animation alone.
This kind of reminds me of Castlevania. At least, some of the darker scenes it shows, and the way the main character runs and stops.
I'm not sure how I feel about this. Not liking the main character for some reason. I like the animation, but the colors seems to happy and pastel. As I said, there are some darker scenes which are cool, but going from fighting demons on a cliff in the rain to running through a forest with deer is just kind off-putting. It looks like they had a sweet dark game and then decided to lighten it up a bit. Maybe it's the other way around, I'm not sure. Still, I'm not sure I like the fusion. I'll wait to see more of the game though, since it does look like a lot of fun.
That that.....I don't even know what to say. It was freaking gorgeous.
