The lights are on
TorrentFreak.com listed its most pirated games of 2011 across PC and consoles. There weren't a whole lot of suprises to be had. Crysis 2 led the way on PCs and Gears of War 3 had the most downloads on the Xbox 360. The PlayStation 3 was not mentioned because apparently the system had, "considerably less downloads."
The biggest surprise was the Wii. Super Mario Galaxy 2 topped the list, but that didn't even release this year, and second place went to Mario Sports Mix, which had more than a million downloads. Skyward Sword didn't even make the top 5. Come on people out there stealing Wii games, you need to get on the ball!
Here are the full lists:PC Game Downloads1. Crysis 2 (3,920,000)2. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 (3,650,000)3. Battlefield 3 (3,510,000)4. FIFA 12 (3,390,000)5. So no pS3 this year? Funny, Ironic, bummer, whatever.
They should put a list of most pirated PSP games. From my friend I know that it is VERY easy to hack a PSP.
This is disgusting.
While I would love to see SOPA not pass, I hope there's another bill that takes down the Pirate Bay separately and most of the other big torrents for videogames.
People who pirate video games need to get a life. Why do you pirate video games? Don't you know that you'll just get in big trouble at some point in time? Also, it's like GI WANTS Skyward Sword to get a lot of pirated downloads.
do gameboy emulated games count as pirated games
I knew that people liked the Wii! It's just that they are ashamed to show that they do.
*looks at PC numbers* o.O
Uh... how many "legit" titles of those games were sold on PC?
I suppose I can understand better why most game publishers have concentrated more on games for consoles in the past decade or so.
