Minecraft Creator Confirms Existence of Minicraft 2

Markus Persson, the man behind Minecraft, recently tweeted that a sequel to Minicraft is currently in development.

Persson recently stepped down as lead developer of Minecraft. It's unlikely that he is working on the Minicraft sequel considering how vocal he was about wanting to work on something new. He's also has his other game Scrolls that he is working on, as well.

No word on release, platform, or anything really. All this confirms is that the game will exist someday.

    That sounds interesting. However, I can't really imagine the change that a sequel would provide that just having updates wouldn't provide.

    It'll be interesting to see if they update the graphics, and if so how much, considering that the graphics are purposely "bad".

    Minicraft is his browser run game that he made in 1 day. completely different from Minecraft.

    Here's my view: make it just like Minecraft, but more realistic. That way you can have two versions. One would be the Minecraft we play and love today (the blocky world) while the other could be blocky, yet have organic textures and creatures.

    EDIT: I just realized this is for MINICRAFT. Not Minecraft. See kids, if you don't read things correctly, you'll look like an idiot.

    Okay, I don't see why you wouldn't just improve on the original, but I guess people don't want updated versions of an original thing.
