Xbox 360 Players Get Exclusive Final Fantasy XIII-2 Weapon...For A Price

Xbox 360 owners have something special to look forward to in Final Fantasy XIII-2, in the form of an exclusive downloadable weapon. Players will be able to use Serah's powerful Azrael bow weapon in the game, after forking over 80 Microsoft Points to unlock it.

Square says the bow is named after an angel who represents spirits and death. In addition to firing arrows at enemies' faces, the bow can supposedly change the destiny of its owner and upgrade the player's chain bonus. If you were planning on keeping an extra buck in your virtual wallet, this thing could indeed change your destiny. Amazing!

Look for the game on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on January 31.

  • MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!

  • That's a sick weapon. But it seems like it should be more of an unlockable weapon at the end of the game or something. It should have already been included in the game

  • Well, that's kind of a waste of money. But still, at least Xbox 360 gets SOMETHING over PS3, because PS3 is usually the system Square gives the most support to.
  • I guess they are trying to boost the Xbox version sales.  Anyway, this weapon should be in game as an unlockable.

  • Of course its for a price, it's Microsoft.....is "free" even part of their vocabulary?
  • i'd fork over a buck for it.
  • They'll probably unlock it a few months down the road for PS3 anyway...
  • Ooh, not bad for a buck.

  • How disgusting. Do you also have to pay extra for spoken dialogue? Or maybe cutscenes? Or an inventory system? DLC greed apparently knows no bounds
  • Stuff like this does irk me. Why not just make it something that you can find in the game, like every other really powerful final fantasy? Even XIII(which I will defend to the death) had you go and get rare componenets to build the uber-weapons.

  • Come on square you're better than this -___- Any publisher who can produce a game like just cause 2 can surely not be this stupid with dlc. What a waste of time.

  • Cool bow, ugly sword, the game is still going to suck like a turbine.
  • F*** DLC.

I understand wanting to charge money for an expansion pack like the Island of Dr. Ned or Shivering Isles, but paying for a single weapon the developers EASILY could have worked into the game? Greed at its finest.
  • I wish we would stop on the stupid system-exclusive add-ons or extras. I'm paying the same price for either version, so I should be able to expect the same amount of content.
  • I don't know who I should blame for this... so I blame both Square and Microsoft.

  • To think.. Microsoft only paid 10 Million for that. My interest just took a -10 points. Boooo Squarenix, go to hell!
  • Boo.

  • Tired of them charging us for stupid ***. Next thing you know EA is going to start charging 80 points for the football in Madden
  • 80 MS points? That's it? Well I think that one weapon is more than worth that low bargain price.
