The lights are on
If there's one thing almost everyone can agree on regarding the Mass Effect series, it's that the soundtrack for each game is always really, really good.
BioWare today released the roster of composers putting together the game's music. “The magic of BioWare games has always been the emotional power of the story, so music is extremely important to the experience,” said Casey Hudson, Executive Producer of the Mass Effect series.
"Each composer has played an intricate role in delivering the combination of epic scope and delicate emotion that will make Mass Effect 3 the best game in the series.”
The roster includes:
Clint Mansell - Golden Globe nominated Hollywood composer recognized for scoring celebrated films including Black Swan, The Wrestler and Requiem for a Dream.
Christopher Lennertz - Emmy nominated Hollywood composer known for his work on the recent movie Horrible Bosses, also composed Mass Effect 2: Overlord, Mass Effect 2: Lair of the Shadow Broker, and won the Interactive Academy Award for Medal of Honor.
Cris Velasco - Known for composing the God of War series' score, has also worked on downloadable content Mass Effect 2: Kasumi and Mass Effect 2: Arrival.
Sam Hulick - Veteran to the Mass Effect series having composed the score for Mass Effect, Mass Effect: Bring Down the Sky and Mass Effect 2.
Sascha Dikiciyan - Video game industry veteran, known for composing the score for TRON: Evolution and the scores of Mass Effect 2: Kasumi and Mass Effect 2: Arrival.
The developer pass along a sample track from the game which you can listen to in MP3 form right here.
Mass Effect 3 hits PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC on March 6, 2012.

Can't wait for this game!!!! DEMO next month! (hint: hey Bioware got a release day on that yet?)
January through April will be dedicated to finishing another playthrough of ME1, ME2 and then 2 play completions of ME3! And I can't wait to spend 4 months on this series!
Just need to finish all my playing of Skyrim this month...lol...I don't think one finishes Skyrim they just decide to quit playing.
Got themselves a nice group of talent
Okay, now that I have that out of my system...Super excited. I've always loved the ME soundtracks (been listening to them alot lately) and seeing exactly who is composing this epic masterpiece just makes me even more excited. I hope they release the soundtrack before the game, like Epic did with Gears 3. I was listening to the soundtrack days before the actual game came out. March 6 cannot get here soon enough!
Hey BioWare, we want a release date for that demo in January too!
WHERE IF JACK WALL ?!?!?
WHERE IS JACK WALL ?!?!?
"sounds" good. hehehehe...terrible soundtrack pun
Sam Hulick and Christopher Lennertz -- that's all I needed to hear. Gonna be SICK.
MASS EFFECT 1 and 2 > MASS EFFECT STORY sure i love the games but what makes the game great is the story itself rather than the game sure ME2 feels a little Gears of Wars. but it was the story that made me play it. sure ME1 had the RPG elements and it was great. and once again it was the Story that made me play. who else focuses on the story more than just the game true Bioware did a great job creating a great game and story. sure beats halo in my book :D
Good Group of composers, but need so many?
Really looking forward to the game, really liked Mass Effect 2 and the good soundtrack it had. Hopefully they can make an epic soundtrack!
Wow for a game series with already great music this is pretty sweet. Hopefully we hear more then 5 songs unlike Skyrim (Which I love the music but I seriously only hear 5 songs even though theirs supposed to be many many more). ME2's final mission theme was already one of my favorite songs in a game along with MGS, and any Nintendo game.
