The lights are on
What began as a joke on Tim Schafer's blog about Nathan's Drake's half-tuck in Uncharted, has now become a full blown fashion statement, apparently.
Sony sent us a press release, a poster, a DVD, and a t-shirt offering instructions on how to use the half-tuck correctly. I knew the fashion world recognized the half-tuck, but I didn't realize it had reached this level of importance. They have a truck and everything.
"Nathan Drake has the 'half-tuck' as his signature style," said stylist and America's Next Top Model personality Jay Manuel, "Drake's look is very appealing and most guys will naturally adopt his ease of style. Both women and men can absolutely rock the half-tuck." And I'm pretty sure Manuel said that without the slightest hint of irony.
What lazy, half-finished video game inspired dressing trend will become popular next? I've got my money on one untied shoe.

I was already doing the half-tuck when I was like 8 after watching Captain Planet (the fire guy had a half-tuck).

A few weeks ago, Olympic diver Greg Louganis came to talk at my school. He was rockin the half tuck.
As others have said, the half-tuck has been common before Nathan Drake came along. I guess he just made it more noticeable.

Well this is sort of weird. Now that it's got all this attention, I don't really see what the big deal is about. It's just a slightly ruffled shirt. The tuck shirt, I assume, is a joke. I suppose it'd be sort of humorous if it was tucked, but still had the words showing.
