Skyrim Mod Adds Multiplayer

Ever wonder what an Elder Scrolls MMO would be like? Here's a glimpse.

The Skyrim Online mod for PC is currently in alpha stages and only allows you to see other players and chat with them right now. The animations aren't working yet and other players appear as the default prisoner model. There's is a Friend's List, too. Skyrim Online requires players to rewrite the game's config files, so a word of warning before trying to do this.

The video below gives a good look at the mod so far. You can download it right here.

  • I need to start saving for a real pc now.
  • A Skyrim MMO would be so cool
  • I can't think of anything better so i will just say interesting. http://www.mammoimage.org/images/interesting_papers.jpg
  • If they could clean up the glitches and get it working well enough, I may just cough up the cash to buy the game for the PC too!

  • strange

  • That looks really awesome. It would be an awesome scene of a real group of take on Alduin.

  • DADDY LIKE
  • Wow, they're like trees. I hate trees.
  • Mod

Mods are one of those areas that give me PC envy.

That's said, it's not like Skyrim has too little content as is.  ;)

  • I'm not really sure i see the point but it would be a very imppresive achievement if they fixed all the problems and made it fully operational
  • lolz nice!

  • So if modders can accomplish all these amazing mods in so little time, why can't Bethesda? I'm not being a smartass, I'm saying that if modders can make better textures and such within weeks, why can't bethesda?
  • The mod community never ceases to amaze me. And I don't say that lightly, honestly, a few weeks out from release and people have already managed to set the stage for multiple user Skyrim for goodness sake...

  • mods are awesome. look at what they did for unreal tournament 3

  • It just doesn't seem right, as much as I would like a Elder Scrolls MMO. It just doesn't sit right in my head.
  • I would put mods in any game if i knew how the heck to do it.
  • So... it looks like so far the mod just fills your game with floating, sweaty, naked, invincible prisoners. That's... kind of creepy. It's a good idea though. It will be interesting to see the final product.
  • will never happen. the game has so many bugs to begin with.

funny to see though, especially when whiterun implodes.

  • It´s amazing indeed but it´s like oblivion full of bugs and not fully playable.

  • Dude put on Xbox 360 we dont need to txt chat we got turtle beaches
