These Were The Most Searched Games Of 2011
Google today released a variety of statistics detailing what the entire world searched for in 2011.
Video games were among the categories, and the results showed no surprises. Call of Duty reigns supreme, taking the top two spots while Halo Reach came in as the third most searched game. Perhaps the most surprising game on this list is Mortal Kombat ahead of The Elder Scolls V: Skyrim and Battlefield 3.
Below is the top 10 searched gaming words in the United States for 2011:
- Black Ops
- Call of Duty
- Halo Reach
- Super Mario
- Mortal Kombat
- Skyrim
- Battlefield 3
- Dragon Age 2
- Diablo 3
- Mass Effect 3
Battlefield 3 was also the fifth fastest rising search overall for Google, not just in gaming, with a 1,773 percent increase year over year.
