Anarchy Reigns Delayed To July

SEGA's upcoming online brawler Anarchy Reigns has been delayed. The game was originally scheduled for release next month.

Anarchy Reigns will now ship on July 3, 2012 in North America, July 6 in Europe and July 5 in Australia.

"Anarchy Reigns brings a new take to the brawler genre and we've decided to take a little more time to deliver the full knockout punch. I can't reveal much now, but it's something to do with scale. Let's just say traditional one on one or two versus two fighters will be a thing of the past..." said Gary Knight, Senior Vice President of Marketing at SEGA West.

Anarchy Reigns is coming to Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

  • What?

  • I like jack better when he was in black and white. Not to be a troll but I really don't see the point of this game. Can anyone tell me what's so good about it?
  • ahem. platinum's game, not sega's game... you wouldn't say "harper's To Kill a Mockingbird" would you? :)
  • ***!

  • Never heard of it. Looks like generic button masher #1138.

  • oh god if they make it even more grand ill be happy. As long as it turns out good.

  • Noooooo!!!! Ah well...I'd rather have them make it as good as they can, so if they need a few more months, I can deal with that. Barely.
  • I think it's not gonna sell well.

  • I WILL HAVE MY REVENGEANCE.

  • Well obviously because they are now working on MG Rising its been delayed! But I think a game in the mold of power stone is great addition.

  • well as long as it makes the game better!

  • I think this is to give Sega more of a chance to market it

  • DAYUMN! That's a pretty long delay, and I was really pumped for Anarchy Reigns too...

  • So what, we gonna have like 6v6 all at the same time? The news on this game has been pretty low, with a trailer of a character randomly popping up. I wonder how many characters are actually in the game, since they revealed like 5 characters I believe. Dang, this coulda been my birthday present XD

  • Very wierd

  • I'm surprised it was ever scheduled for July anyway; I thought the best time to launch new IPs was in the spring/early summer, when normal game releases slow to a crawl.

At any rate, I don't think I care. Platinum Games either makes excellent games (Vanquish) or interesting failures (Mad World); this looks like an interesting failure.

  • I need to read up more on this game. That screenshot peaks my interest.

  • Making overhyped claims of revolution won't matter until we see some gameplay

  • I think it'll be pretty good.

  • Hmm I have never heard of this game before...
