Thinking about causing some mischief in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3? Think again.

Activision is handing out bans that could last up to 14 years. A photo surfaced on the website MP1st recently that shows one player being banned for 5000 days!

Infinity Ward creative strategist Robert Bowling said on Twitter that the 5000 day ban "means you've been Permabanned (for something bad)." Of course, Bowling is assuming that no one out there would wait that long to get back to playing Modern Warfare 3.

Activision recently announced Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 reached $1 billion in sales in just 16 days.

    Wouldn't it be hilarious if one of those annoying kids who break the mike was banned? They'd be able to play call of duty... when they're in their 20s!

    I just get a new acc or change the internet tower (modem I believe it's called). That 5000 ban is just stupid IMHO.

    So uhh...what exactly is considered mischief in COD? People get away with racist slurs all the time. I hope they don't consider soundboards "mischief", those are hilarious.

    i think this is mularkey they always say they are gonna ban people and they never do, call of duty and halo the most cheated games to date look at the facts, but if you cheat in a video game or mad or hack you are scum and a hazard to society to take something so pure as a video game and cheat you are a _i-c-h and deserve anything bad plus more that comes your way

    Hmmm, it's kinda a paradox, you have those who are willing to buy the game to cheat but then you are also losing customers cause of those who cheat
