Get Eight Capcom XBLA Games On One Disc

Over the years, Capcom has released some impressive content on Xbox Live Arcade. Today the publisher announced that it will compile eight of its downloadable titles and sell them on retail shelves.

Dubbed the Capcom Digital Collection, the disc will be Xbox 360-exclusive and cost $39.99 (no release date is currently specified).  The full list of eight games is:

1942: Joint Strike
Bionic Commando Rearmed 2
Final Fight Double Impact
Flock!
Rocketmen: Axis of Evil (plus expansion)
Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo HD Remix
Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix
Wolf of the Battlefield: Commando 3

That's a lot of great content, and while every game on the list isn't exactly pure gold, you'll still get plenty for your money…assuming you haven't bought these games already, since some titles have been out for three or four years.

  • Capcom needs to stop repackaging their stuff it's really getting out of control.
  • None of those games sound that good. I don't see how that would add up to be worth $40.
  • None of these are Megaman...
  • You can repackage eight turds any way you'd like. It's still not worth 40 bucks.
  • Cool

  • I have to agree that the repackaging is really annoying. Quick money.
  • I love how people are complaining about Capcom repackaging things. If people didn't buy them, they would have no reason to do keep doing it.

  • 40 bucks isn't that bad... it'll help those people that can't connect to LIVE (like me).

  • Not bad. Not sure I ever picked up any of these so it might be worth my money. Maybe.

  • if only i  1.  didn't already own what i want on here, 2.have a dead 360 disc drive 3. wasn't broke now

  • nice

  • Wouldn't mind having a few of these. The only one I own is SF2HD so I could possibly see myself buying this.

  • The only one I currently own on that disc is Puzzle Fighter and I don't really have an interest for any others on there so I definitely won't be buying but it seems like a pretty good deal for those who don't have XBLA.
  • wtf, capcom?? no megaman???????

  • So they pile all this questionable junk on one disc, but they cancel the retail versions of Resident Evils 4 and Code Veronica in HD? Great move, Capcom.
  • Only things that look good are the Street Fighters

  • I think $40 is too much for all those old arcade games. It will inevitably drop in price at some point.
  • MORE REPACKAGING! And don't forget to mention the part where they come to your house, and point a gun at your head, and make you buy it.
  • So much negativity here for what is essentially a good deal. Are gamers really just a bunch of spoiled, whiney brats these days? I love the idea of downloadable games appearing as collections on physical media, like the Bit.Trip Saga on the 3DS. Great idea, especially for those that didn't download the games to begin with. I only wish Bionic Commando Rearmed 1 was on the disk. What I'd really like to see, though, is the Konami ReBirth games released together in a collection for the 3DS and/or Wii.
  • This is good news for off-line gamers like myself. I'm glad to see we are not forgotten by these companies.
