Every day is like Christmas for Payday: The Heist's cast of criminals. After all, ill-gotten bank deposit bags are a lot like wrapped gifts, even if the giver wasn't technically in a giving mood. The game's getting an update though, which just makes the holiday connotations official.
Gangs will be able to find hidden Christmas presents hidden throughout the multiplayer stages. Find them, and you can be the proud owner of your very own Santa mask. Terrifying! That's in addition to several new game enhancements, such as improved combat, drop-in action, new masks, and general gameplay tweaks. Check out the game's official site for more details.
We reviewed Payday: The Heist a while back, and it's a lot of fun on PC. The PS3 version, on the other hand, is a big ol' lump of...coal.

Glad to hear it. This is actually a super-fun game. I'm not saying it's the greatest, but for the price it packs a lot of entertainment. And, some of the set pieces are fantastic. Sawing the panic room out of a crack-house and then blowing up the top of the building to air lift it out, while snipers are trying to take you out from the adjacent rooftops is some great action. Or, chasing a rat through crowded city streets while trying to avoid the cops after a deal gone bad. Great stuff.

wow who would want a santa clause mask unless they worked at a daycare
ive played the ps3 version and currently own it and i must say its still fun. yes it has problems but that doesn't take away from the fun factor in my book. you cant play it form hours but its a good way to pass the time and personally that seems to be something that alot of video game "experts" seem to be not taking into account, games are games..... they're supposed to be fun first and foremost
I would LOVE to play it, but I bought it without looking at the specs, and I can't play it. $20 down the drain.
I'm waiting for this game to go down in price below $10, and then me and a couple of friends will pick it up.
I hate all the bad reputation they give this game for ps3. I play it all the time and enjoy it, who needs auto aim when you have skill.
It's the 3rd best selling game on psn for november, and the 2nd bestselling game in october.
