The lights are on
The new franchise from the creators of Gears of War is something you wouldn't expect.
Fortnit's cartoony art style is reminiscent of other titles like Team Fortress 2. No details about the gameplay were explained, but it appears players will raid then later build a fortress structure to defend against hordes of zombie creatures.
No platforms or release date were revealed.
Made me think of TF2, but also Borderlands for some reason.
can you build blanket forts to protect yourself?
looks interesting hoping for more info soon
Even the text is the same font as TF2...
I don't even like Epic Games, but this looks promising.
Where are mah chainsaws?
I didn't see any hints of Tower defense in this. All I saw was Minecraft.
very excited about this...
I can dig it, a game focused on building forts to survive enemy onslaughts. Epic does so well with horde mode so I think a game focused around that sort of play would be neat. I just hope it's not like other games where you just place autoturrets and barricades and you actually get more indepth to the actual architecture of your fort. As for the style, I never really hold developers to a certain style, genre, or series as long as they don't stray too far off (besides you Valve, you owe me a new Half-Life.) But yeah this game looks just unique and fresh enough coming from Epic.
Mmmm... So yeah, I'm disappointed... :(
more zombies? seriously?
Looks kinda cool, but the question is when you get the supplies can you place them where you want on your defenses? That is what I want from a zombie game, make your own stuff like you might in real life.
If this is a tower defense im all for it!!!!
It did not generate much hype on my end (regardless. still seemed to have the formula for fun). Unexpected though. I had no idea what direction they were going to go during the trailer until the very end.
