Xbox 360 Dashboard Update Goes Live

by Jim Reilly on Dec 06, 2011 at 05:37 PM

Update: Microsoft says the update is live and in the process of rolling out to Xbox Live members. They say some users may be experiencing connection issues when signing into Live and that the company is looking into the problem. You can keep an eye on status updates through their service page.

Original Story: Microsoft said it had to delay releasing the new Xbox 360 dashboard update until later today.

Xbox Live's Larry "Major Nelson" Hryb confirmed the delay saying, "The timing for Xbox 360 dashboard update has been slightly delayed. We are still working to get the release out. Stay tuned, we’ll have an update this afternoon on when it will begin rolling out."

The update will add a number of new features, including cloud storage for game saves and Live profiles and integrated voice and gesture controls across the dashboard and in apps. It was originally scheduled to go live this morning.
