How To Win At Skyrim Without Ever Killing Anything

Compared to most games, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim has a lot of options for keeping your attention outside of combat. However, if you start digging in, chances are you'll be slaying wild beasts and fellow humanoids left and right. Unless you're Felix, the peaceful monk.

Felix is a pacifist monk who uses illusion spells and a fear-inducing mace to keep from seriously harming any foes. He's played by YouTube user WestSideLuigi, and so far he's made it nine levels deep into Skyrim without killing anything. Not a single animal, person, dragon, or even undead.

It's a pretty incredible feat of playing a game in an unintended way -- sort of like the guy who hit the level cap in World of Warcraft without killing anything. Watch the YouTube video below to get some Skyrim pacifism tips and see for yourself how Felix handles some scary situations.

  • What's the fun in that if you can't slay dragons? D:
  • Wooowww, fallout 4 looks okey
  • I just saw this on Reddit...I thought it was kinda cool. Not as cool as stealing a guards clothes in broad-day light, but close
  • Felix is one with The Way of the Voice
  • in the game of skyrim you kill bunnies or you die
  • What a champion! Carry on, Felix the Cat. Talos be with you!
  • My Bosmer, Elrond, does not approve of this. This would be game of the century if you could play co-op with, like, one friend, though.
  • First thoughts: Oh, interesting...

Second thoughts: He'll never be able to beat the main quest... lol

Final thoughts: OMG HE'S A KHAJIIT OMG YES!!!!! KITTEH!!!

This is interesting... He'll never be able to beat the main quest, but still... He's a Khajiit, they sound so cool.
  • That is stupid and I disagree with it, but I support Skyrim and I support your freedom to play the way you want.
  • Impressive, but I feel like it would be a very boring playstyle, not only because you wouldn't get to kill anything, or that you have a much lower level cap, but because so many quests will be undoable for you.
  • Dang, that's awesome!

  • I'll stick to murdering everything in sight.
  • Commendable.

  • This gameplay style is epic,

  • I actually started a character for this kind of run when I saw this story earlier on kotaku. So far I haven't been able to by any calm or fear spells. the only way i can make money is robbing everybody I come across >.<
  • I used to play like this, then i took an arrow to the knee.
  • That was interesting. I wonder if he'll be able to end the entire game without any kills.
  • In Oblivion, you had to kill some enemies to complete the main quest.  I wonder if a few deaths will be required if he wants to finish the game...

  • His commentary style reminds me of Bob Ross. I'm waiting for him to cast a spell for some happy trees.
  • I remember there was a guy doing this in MW2 who was leveling up but never killed anyone, he just completed the objectives to get points.
