The lights are on
Trey Parker and Matt Stone have never been shy about their love of gaming. From Randy Marsh playing Guitar Hero in his underpants to the legendary "Make Love, Not Warcraft" episode, the comic duo have demonstrated an obvious familiarity with the medium. Now that they've conquered television, film, and Broadway, the next target on their hit list is the gaming industry.
Thanks to a collaboration with THQ and Obsidian, Parker and Stone are writing the script, performing the dialogue, and overseeing the development of South Park: The Game. Unlike the cash-in Acclaim titles from over a decade ago, this ambitious project is a full-scale RPG for the Xbox 360, Playstation 3, and PC. As the new kid in South Park, it'll be up to you to make friends and defend the town from a wide range of threats. Be sure to check out our January issue for all the details, as well as an interview with Parker and Stone themselves.

This is so totally gonna rock. I wonder if they'll have a Lemmiwinks quest too?
i'm pretty curious to see what kind of game it will be. plus that dragon on the far right looks awesomely hilarious.
WTF GI?!!?? For the love of god please tell me this is a joke!!!
I guess the kart racing money finally ran out.
Super meha meha king kong awesome!
HOLY CRAP!!! AWESOME!!!
Awesome! RPGs for everything!
Who wouldn't want to interact with their favorite South Park characters?
This is one the best gameinformer covers I have ever seen.
Not gonna lie, I'm pretty excited to see what this holds. I'm 26.
Mr. Hanky should be a playable character!!!
Dangit, I actually got excited for this one. Oh well, back to Skyrim.
Really another South Park game didnt people learn from the last one.South Park isnt a bad TV show but thats were it should stay is on TV.I think the only real game that is a TV show that worked is the Simpsons but even that was still bad.Im gona see how this one works mabe just mabe itll be good.
Shooting more turkeys and throwing yellow snow! I'm so down for this game!
Well, this is... interesting. I don't hate South Park by any means but... I can't see this being good. It really doesn't matter if they can make it funny, it only matters if they can make it good. It could have some of the best jokes they've ever done, but suck completely as a game. And I, personally, don't see the potential for this to be a good game. A full RPG, really? What, you collect snowballs and throw them at monsters?
I guess I'll try and keep an open mind, but I have serious doubts about this game. Sure, this seems right up GI's alley, I can see why they picked it, but... Well, I'll be surprised if it gets more than an 8.
I hope I get to beat Cartman's face in.....annoying little punk.
