The lights are on
Trey Parker and Matt Stone have never been shy about their love of gaming. From Randy Marsh playing Guitar Hero in his underpants to the legendary "Make Love, Not Warcraft" episode, the comic duo have demonstrated an obvious familiarity with the medium. Now that they've conquered television, film, and Broadway, the next target on their hit list is the gaming industry.
Thanks to a collaboration with THQ and Obsidian, Parker and Stone are writing the script, performing the dialogue, and overseeing the development of South Park: The Game. Unlike the cash-in Acclaim titles from over a decade ago, this ambitious project is a full-scale RPG for the Xbox 360, Playstation 3, and PC. As the new kid in South Park, it'll be up to you to make friends and defend the town from a wide range of threats. Be sure to check out our January issue for all the details, as well as an interview with Parker and Stone themselves.

I was just saying to myself the other day that I would love to see a full fledged, true to heart south park game. One that basically makes south park your sand box play ground. Man I can't wait, if done right this has potential to be loads of fun. It's been awhile since I played a game that was meant to be fun and humorous. Don't get me wrong, I love my battlefield and batman etc, but some toilet humor set with south park as my backdrop sounds like such a perfect night after a day of should crushing blue collar labor.
Well it sounds decent due to the fact that I like the show and also I played the first south park game for the Nintendo 64
Really? This could be really good and totally hilarious if done right. God, this could be one of the funnest games ever made....
This reveal gave me such a raging clue, I shot clue goo all over the place...
I've watched this show since it's inception. It's evolved with it's target audience. I feel like the show grew as we grew.
I'm 24...S$%#'s still ballin'.
?
Whaaaat?
thats is awsome
Why Obsidian...

So pumped.
This is going to be great. Finally, a game that's not going to take itself over 9,000 seriously and will, it seems, be FUN to play. You know, fun? Enjoyable?
Not everything has to be dark and dire to be a good game.
hahaa if they really over seeing the project it could be awesome. but man I *** loved that warcraft episode truly amazing. Havnt watched the latest episodes of the current series but hopefully it will still be wella funny.
Color me intrigued.
Wow i'm pretty excited. Can't wait to see the graphics.
