The lights are on
Capcom has announced that it is publishing a downloadable game based on the Sour Patch Kids candy. The game will feature the new Method Man track "World Gone Sour (The Lost Kids)." This is all true.
Why a Sour Patch Kids game? The answer is obvious, or at least it is if your paycheck has the words "Capcom" or "Sour Patch" printed on it.
“Sour Patch is the #1 all sour candy brand in the U.S. but there is so much more to these iconic characters than just their sour exteriors and sweet interiors,” says Sebastian Genesio, marketing director for Sour Patch. “Bringing our ‘lost kids’ to life in video game form will add a new dimension to these lovable snacks. We feel this video game will resonate strongly with our core audience of teens and young adults.”“Sour Patch has brought its brand to life in a unique experience that only video games can deliver,” said Christian Svensson, senior vice president, planning & strategy, Capcom Entertainment, Inc. “Whether you’re a fan of Sour Patch Kids or fun and engaging gameplay, World Gone Sour has something for all gamers to enjoy.”
Players will explore a human-sized world from the perspective of the tiny treat, avoiding enemy candies and reuniting with your fellow Sour Patch Kids. And it also has in-game narrations from the guy who plays Creed on NBC's The Office. Of course it does.
Look for it this winter for $4.99 on PlayStation 3 or 400 Microsoft Points on the Xbox 360. A PC version will be out this spring.

Dear Capcom,
If you really want to cash in, start selling the drugs you're obviously taking!!!!!
what the hell?!? you decide to drop megaman for a candy game.... for shame capcom for shame -.-
They sure look tasty. I doubt I'd play this game if it was free though, much less pay for it. I, would have, however, paid for a Mega Man game. Just saying.
I think I'll buy this so I'll have something to play during the next 420 celebration.
This..... I don't even know what to say....
I'd call April fool's but we are no where near April at this point.
If this game is legit good I'd be surprised. But I do love sour candy.
Does this remind anyone of those terrible tie-in games of the past like Shaq-Fu or that McDonalds game? Which reminds me I need to find the Replay featuring that and watch it again.
Wow, just wow..
This sounds odd to say the least.....
Hahaha... what? This must be some sort of... lost Game Infarcer article or something... right? I mean... what?
Ummmmmmmmm......ok........
This.. this is why I refuse to buy Capcom products. Rehashed titles with minor updates, cancelling big sell games, and games that frankly.. you couldn't pay me $5 to play.
ALL OF MY HATE.
It's like Capcom wants us to hate them
what the fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuueeeck
Method Man?
I'd buy it.
Interesting...?
