Brendan McNamara's Next Game Moves Forward

by Matthew Kato on Nov 28, 2011 at 04:08 AM

Ex-Team Bondi and L.A. Noire developer Brendan McNamara has been teasing his next project recently, and the game has taken another step forward towards fruition.

The Australian Financial Review reports that George Miller's KMM production company (Miller wrote and directed Mad Max, and KMM is responsible for the Happy Feet movie series), has acquired the rights to McNamara's next game, entitled, Whore of the Orient. Although further details behind the title are unknown, recently McNamara called the project "...one of the great untold stories of the twentieth century."

Since the demise of L.A. Noire developer Team Bondi, many of the staff have moved over to KMM to work on the film Happy Feet Two.

KMM is also hoping to work on a video game adaptation of Mad Max 4: Fury Road (with Warner Bros.), but KMM is lobbying the Australian government for a tax credit to do so.
