LEGO Yoda Santa Being Built In San Francisco This Weekend

A group of LEGO master builders are assembling a 12-foot version of the legendary Jedi, and you may be able to help.

The statue is being built in Union Square, and the public is welcome to assist. The three-day event is scheduled to end on Sunday, November 20, so it's already been going on for a while. The goal is to create a larger version of the model (pictured above), with the help of many adults and children who want to participate.

Apparently, the group is making good progress, so if you live in the area and you're interested in helping, you should get out there first thing tomorrow. Once Yoda's been built, they're not going to disassemble him just so more people can help.

CEO: Ok people, how can we merge Lego's, Star Wars and Christmas into a giant holiday money grab??

Some Random exec (who was probably joking): We could build a giant Yoda wearing a Santa suit out of Lego's!!

CEO: Brilliant! Absolutely Brilliant!! We've got a winner here, people!!!

That Random Exec is now probably VP of operations on the West Coast...and here we have in this little story everything that is wrong with Corporate America.
