Assassin’s Creed Revelations DLC Detailed

On the day of the game's release, Ubisoft announced downloadable content plans for Assassin’s Creed Revelations.

First up is the Ancestors Character Pack on December 13. This pack includes four new multiplayer characters: the Privateer, Corsair, Brigand and the Gladiator. Each character has unique taunts, weapons and assassination moves. This pack will cost $3.99 on PlayStation Network and 320 Microsoft Points on Xbox Live.

Ubisoft says it has another content pack coming, but did not divulge details at this time.

Additionally, the PC version of Assassin’s Creed Revelations releases on November 29, 2011.

  • Multiplayer DLC already? Can't wait xD

  • awww shnap! cant wait to play this!

  • ..Why can't they just put those characters in the game?
  • I love DLC, don't get me wrong, it adds additional content to games you love, but if DLC is planned from day one? Why not just have it on the game? It's the timing more than anything that upsets me, I suppose.
  • oh hey, day 1 DLC announcements. there's a surprise
  • Hey people, before you complain, the game went gold (was finished) a while ago. They have used the time between now and then to take a break and then come back and start DLC, that is why it is not included. I would rather get the game now then wait another month for it to release with four other characters.
  • Yay?

  • Cool, I just picked the game up this morning and I really like all of the new additions to multiplayer. Four new characters for four bucks sounds like a good deal, here's hoping the other content pack they have planned is a bit more substantial though.

  • I can't stand DLC packs like this. Multiplayer is cool and all for AC, but I want more DLC for single player. That's the whole reason why I play this series. I know Ubisoft has to focus on both aspects of the game, so I'm not gonna b**** about it too much. But, I'd rather see more content for single player, before extra character skins for multiplayer. Let's hope the next DLC has that. Either way, I'll probably buy this pack, LOL!
  • This isn't day one DLC this is announcing it. The release date for this isn't until december so they have a bit to go to make the multiplayer characters. So please everyone understand this isn't day one DLC, it's a day one announcement of it
  • That's a good price for DLC even pointless DLC
  • Now is there going to be a season pass for this game too? I mean, that's the next step right? Step 1: Develop game Step 2: Announce game Step 3: Announce release date Step 4: Announce DLC before people get to play the game Step 5: Release game Step 6: Announce season pass Step 7: Release DLC Step 8: Repeat Step 7 about 5 times until the next game reaches Step 3 These phases are annoying. From Call of Duty to Assassin's Creed. Even the *** WWE game does this. I just can't wait until Nintendo's console has the same online community/marketplace like 360 & PS3 so that we'll be seeing Mario and Zelda season passes.
  • I CANT WAIT !!!

  • Intriguing, I suppose.

  • can't wait for it

  • If only I enjoyed multiplayer...

  • Couldn't get into Assassin's Creed 2's DLC, but I heard Brotherhood's was pretty good. Hopefully this turns out well.

  • Pretty cheap for DLC characters, unlike the MK9
  • I don't really care about new MP characters. If this was additional content for SP, I'd pick it up for sure.

  • I like it when games reveal their DLC plans early on. It's even better when the DLC itself comes out within a month of the release. I still think Arkham City did it best by releasing the Nightwing DLC in two weeks post-launch. Saints Row offered micro-DLC yesterday too... yay for Assassins Creed though!
