The lights are on
Take-Two announced it is delaying the release of XCOM.
It was announced at E3 2011 that XCOM would ship on March 6, 2012, the same day as Mass Effect 3. That is no longer the case. The company said XCOM will ship during its 2013 fiscal year, which begins on April 1, 2012 and ends March 31, 2013.
A reason for the delay was not provided at this time.
this does not bode well...
I haven't had my hopes up for this game at all
I'm disappointed in this, but it gives me time with Mass Effect 3 first, which is good.
Lame. This one's DOA.
The thing that killed this game was the era it was set in. It should have been in the modern day or the near future. By making it in the 1950's, they limited the gay play to the technology of that time. It's ludicrous to think that 1950's America would have the ability to go toe to toe with an advanced alien species.

The original game was set in 1999, and even in present day 2011 it's still rather foolish to believe that America (be it 50's, 90's or 10's) would be able to fight against an alien race, who is able to traverse to universe..
It's probably a smart move. I don't think THEY even know the direction they want to take.
