The lights are on
Normally shutting down the servers for an older sports title wouldn't be
a big deal, but Visual Concepts' turning out the online lights on NBA 2K11 in mid-November might stoke the ire of fans.
Given that the new title NBA 2K12 hasn't been out a full month yet, we're sure there are still some fans of the series having fun online with 2K11. Furthermore, given NBA 2K12's online problems since launch, you can excuse some gamers for preferring to deal with the devil they know instead of just switching over to 2K12. Finally, the fact that 2K11 has the My Crew and Online Leagues features – which NBA 2K12 does not – is yet another reason why shutting off online access to 2K11 at this time might not go over well with some fans.
Any 2K11 players put out by this shut down?

I was just thinking of getting this used or new cheaper the other day. Probably still a lot to offer single player.
Wow. You pay so much for a game, to play online, and now you can't because they are shutting down the servers? Total BS. I'd start a petition or something, this is crap.
Won't be buying another NBA 2K game new.
Unfair if you never brought 2K12 yet. Besides there's still an NBA lockout not everyone are ready to move on yet.
