New Rainbow Six Game Could Be Called Patriots

Two website domain registrations may tip Ubisoft's hand for the return of its tactical Tom Clancy shooter.

We haven't seen a new Rainbow Six game since 2008's Rainbow Six Vegas 2, so we're guessing Ubisoft is concocting a new sequel to the dormant series behind closed doors in one of its international locations.

Earlier this year, Kotaku reported the series was moving in a more narrative direction with a moral tale about an American terrorist group who strikes New York City over the "greed of Wall Street and the government that acts to protect them." Now that rumored game may have a name. 

According to Fusible, Ubisoft has registered the Rainbow6Patriots.com and RainbowSixPatriots.com domains.

    Thank god, if that is the real purpose behind the story, that sounds like someone in the gaming industry is getting the balls to actually put real life events (other than acceptable wars in the middle east) plausible events that are highly controversial into a video game. Not to say that Rainbow Six Vegas wasn't that kind of a series, I just found the way they did Vegas was kind of untrue. You wanna know why there aren't high gang rates in Vegas? Because the Casino's have their own military. It's called the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police.

    I absolutely love RSV1 and 2 they were both great, I loved playing the second one with my dad, he took it so seriously too, whenever i would get killed, he would make it all dramatic haha good times.

    I sure hope that Tom Clancy will have a more direct role in the story, I'd hate to have this series be ruined by some socialist propaganda.
