Want Diablo 3 for free when it launches? Just sign up for Blizzard's newly announced World of Warcraft "Annual Pass".

The pass is a 12-month subscription to World of Warcraft that can be billed monthly or all at once. "This is the full digital version of the game -- not a trial or limited edition," said Blizzard CEO Mike Morhaime. The WoW annual pass also gives you guaranteed access into next WoW expansion beta and an exclusive in-game mount called Tyriel's Charger based off Diablo III.

The annual pass is available now.

    And I just let my WoW re-occurring monthly charge expire when I got my new card, because I hadn't played it in months...

    So to get the game free would I have to keep paying every year for a year of WoW until the game comes out.. if it ever comes out.... yeah good deal for blizzard I guess

    Sounds like a sweet deal to me except for the fact that I won't want to play WoW when Diablo 3 comes out.

    I don't know if this would really be for me. I flirt with the idea of leaving WoW too often to seriously consider something like this. But that new mount is tempting, and I do want to play D3.

    Never played wow. Tho I'm sure a buddy of mine will look into this. He's been waiting for Diablo 3 for idk how many years.

    That's a pretty good incentive to get back into WoW. I got to play a bit of the beta for Diablo III, it was pretty fun and I'd love to check out more.

    This is amazing. I already play WoW, and I'm really excited for Diablo III, so this is just.... Yeah. The other free stuff is just icing on the cake.

    Hoooooo.... this is treading on thin ice. If anything in the realm of special privileges, items, access whatever (For D3) ends up being tied having an active WoW account... I honestly don't know what I'll do. It's strange having the same name behind both my most beloved and perhaps one of my most disliked franchises.

    Hmmm I like how I can pay monthly and get into the next beta for sure. I might just have to do this. Though I am not sure I want to pay for both WoW and SWTOR at the same time while I wait for the next xpac.

    The best thing i have heard at Blizzcon so far is "Diablo III is coming sooner than you may think"  IDK who said it, but I hope that means early January.
