The lights are on
Looks like Batman: Arkham City is the last time we'll hear Mark Hamill voice the Joker.
Hamill indicated on Twitter he's done voicing the Clown Prince of Crime.
"Hello/Goodbye Joker! I've enjoyed every minute behind the wheel of the Crown Prince's crazy car- I'm going to miss him more than I can say!!"
This news should come as no surprise as Hamill said in an interview with IGN back in May that Batman: Arkham City would be his final project.
Hamill began voicing Joker back in 1992 in Batman: The Animated Series and would continue to do so in episodes of Superman: The Animated Series, The New Batman Adventures, Justice League, and Static Shock. He also played the Joker in two animated films: Batman: Mask of the Phantasm and Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker.
Hot diggity dog. He did a good job with the role.
:(((((
Too bad to. He practically IS the joker to me.
awwww he was sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo- heh heh heh heh-oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo good at it. Had to take a breath there
Mr. Hamill, you did an absolutely fantastic job voicing one of the greatest super-villains of all time. I salute you. Enjoy your retirement.
R.I.P. Joker.
No one can ever replace his voice spot for the joker glad he stuck it out for batman arkham city.
Well he HAS played the Joker a million times so I guess he deserves a break. Or retirement in this case.
I'm not really surprised but it is sad nevertheless. His voicing of Joker was superbly done and I loved Batman: The Animated Series when I was a child. His voice acting steals the show in the Arkham video games as well. I get out of class in about 10 mins. Can't wait to get home and play some Arkham City.
