The lights are on
If you weren't already excited about DICE's upcoming Battlefield 3, EA just sweetened the pot. Gamers who purchase the game will receive early access to the Mass Effect 3 multiplayer demo. The news broke through the (Canadian, by the sound of it) unboxing video of the PS3 version of Battlefield 3. An insert in the game package stated that the purchaser would have "early access to the multiplayer portion of the Mass Effect 3 demo." Apparently, details on when BF 3 owners can access the demo will be revealed through Battlefield 3's in-game ticker.Later, on the Mass Effect 3 Facebook page and Twitter account, it was announced that the ME 3 demo will feature both single- and multiplayer portions. According to Facebook, "It’s going to be a happy new year! Mass Effect 3 will have a pre-release demo in January 2012. The demo will have both single player and multiplayer sections, giving fans a taste of what’s to come on 3/6/12."Sounds like the perfect way to get through the January gaming doldrums.Via: Kotaku

That is all....
This just sweetened the deal for me even more! So psyched!
Getting both, but early access just makes it sweeter!
Still need to finish Gears 3 and then batman arkham city then battlefield 3 booyah!!
Excellent. I think though, I'll just try out the multiplayer. I don't want to know a thing about what happens in the solo campaign.
January doldrums? Are you kidding? I will still be deep into Skyrim, and by the looks of it, Halo and Uncharted 3 in January LOL! I doubt if I will even give BF3 a second look by then, no matter how awesome it is supposed to be.
Nice. Glad to see they are going to throw out another beta that's probably going to suck.
Ugh EA you suck. I only have enough money for Skyrim....i really want BF3 now just because of Mass Effect....
nice bonus
It's like peanut butter offering jelly, beer offering pretzels, Laverne offering Shirley....
As much as I love Mass Effect i'm not going to buy a game I don't support what so ever just to play a demo early. Skyrim will have my attention for quite a while i'm sure. No thanks EA.
