Enjoy An Hour Of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Footage

Are you excited for Valve's upgraded take on its classic online shooter, Counter-Strike? Me too! Let's celebrate our shared interest by watching an hour of Global Offensive gameplay.

This hour of footage comes from the Intel Extreme Masters Global Challenge, where a team of American shooter experts faced off against their European equals. That's cool and all, but mostly it just gets me even more hyped to try to get back into Counter-Strike.

  • I will enjoy the hour of Counter-Strike: G.O. ^_^
  • I feel torn. Valve has never done me wrong, but for some reason I just can't get into this CS GO. Which is strange considering I enjoy CS greatly.
  • As the game that first emerged me into competitive multiplayer when I was but a wee lad, CS was very influential to me and was my favorite game. I think, however, that this game seems stuck in the past. NO Iron sights, seemingly sub-par to par HD graphics. I probably will not be purchasing this. I wish Valve would have decided to actually bring this title into the 21st century.

  • And I will enjoy that hour, im not a huge fan of the cross platform play, I think it is just asking for flame wars but as a CS game, well I love CS.
  • Looks like I'm gonna need some popcorn for this...

  • nice

  • I know, I know, PC people who had the money and the mommies to buy them a computer played this game (and still do) for 5-6 years.

Sorry, but my 5 year old Xbox self just didn't and never will have the money to get into a PC game. (mostly because I have grown with a controller in my hand)

From the console perspective, this gameplay seems kind of ancient. No iron siting? Only via the sniper rife and specific weapons (galil anyone?)? I'll stick with the tried and true console formula of BF3 and MW3.

There is a reason I left Halo, and the epiphany of iron sights via COD/BF made that exodus all the better.

But for all of you PC enthusiasts that are wacking off to this, know that I'll be watching my skyrim videos with as much enthusiasm...
  • Hmmm.  I most likely will be picking up this title, but I don't feel excited for it at all.  I've been playing cs for over 10 years now, and I still do play cs (except source more often now), but GO just doesn't seem to click.  It feels like another condition zero.

  • Looks a bit rough for a shooter in 2011. Counter-Strike deserves better.

  • One word: This is awesome.

  • i thought this was a downloadable title on PSN and XBLA when it was first announced lol.
  • As long as the gameplay can match what I've spent the last 6 years of my life playing, I will be fine. The graphics are also pretty fracking good for a game that isn't meant to be about visuals. Sadly, there are too many crates. Seriously Chet!? You're going to let this rubbish pass?!
  • wait wait wait wait wait wait!!! gameinformer put xbox as a console for this game???!! I'm SO DOWWN!!!!
  • I probably watched 50 minutes of it. Interesting. I havent played CS before, but I might check this out.

  • Did someone actually post earlier that BF is better then CS? How old is he? And people say CoD gamers are bad...
  • Looks good enough to give it a try.

  • I am so terrible at CS, I enjoy Day of Defeat:Source or TF2 more. The learning and skill curve is just way to steep for me to get in CS.

  • USA! USA!

  • Meh, never really got into counter strike and this one just looks ok.

  • Why would you morons WANT iron sights on this game? CS was all about hip firing before EVERY *** game put in iron sights (yes GoW3 I'm looking at you).

I think they're just afraid that they will get owned in this game. I for one welcome the challenge.
