Capcom Releasing Mega Man And Monster Hunter PSP Bundles

Are you among those Capcom fans still irked that the company canceled the only two Mega Man titles confirmed to be development? Maybe you’re a Western gamer that’s always been curious about the Monster Hunter series’ immense success in Japan, but have waited for an opportune time to check it out. Listen up, because Capcom is releasing dual packs of some of their most popular PSP titles for your consuming convenience.

I have virtually no experience with the Monster Hunter series, but I can vouch for the quality of both Mega Man Powered Up and Mega Man Maverick Hunter X. Powered Up is a fun chibi-style remake of the original game, along with two new boss battles and a fun level creation/sharing system. Maverick Hunter X is a gorgeous remake of the stellar SNES title. If you haven't played any iteration of Mega Man X: 1) You're crazy, and 2) Play this version.

So Freedom Unite is an expansion of 2? Is it 2 plus the expansion? Or is it a separate game? Because if it's the former, this seems like an odd choice. I'll probably pick these up though. Are they out? I don't see a release date here. There was supposed to be a Phantasy Star bundle out last month but I think it's been delayed indefinitely...

Awesome! I haven't played a Mega Man game since around 2003, and I can totally vouch that Monster Hunter is a good series, just Western gamers are more wrapped up in FPS games and other games where things are just given to them. I've really enjoyed Monster Hunter Freedom Unite for the last 2.5 years I've had it. Where as I haven't played a Mega Man on PSP so this sounds like the perfect opportunity =)

Hmmm... That Monster Hunter pack looks intriguing. I rather enjoyed MH Tri for the Wii, so maybe I'll check this out. Can't really go wrong with only 15 bucks.

Maverick Hunter was an awesome remake and one of the few psp games I still play. I never played Powered Up though and I'm not a fan of Monster Hunter.
