The lights are on
Those who purchase used copies of Batman: Arkham City won't be able to play the single-player portions of the game containing Catwoman.
Every new copy of the game will include the pass, but buying used means you'll have to pay publisher Warner Bros. 800 Microsoft Points or $9.99. "Catwoman is a unique character with her own story, moves, and weapons. Unlock Catwoman by redeeming the 1st purchaser included in the game case or by visiting Xbox Live Marketplace," reads Arkham City's title screen. Warner Bros. insists, however, the Catwoman section "is not required to complete the game," Eurogamer reports.
If you don't unlock Catwoman she will still appear in the game, but her four, story-based missions will not be playable. Using the code also unlocks Catwoman as a playable character in the game's challenge mode.
Batman: Arkham City is due out on Tuesday, October 18.
*sigh*...Nah. I'll wait till I play for myself.
boooooo! i am all for giving a bonus to buying a game new, but come on, it seems a little late in the game to throw a wrench in the gears announcement like this, especially after all the coverage they have given to Catwoman as a playable character. this feels cheap to me.
Meh... Sexy Cat Lady or A couple bucks off? I'm going sexy cat lady!
Mega lame
What the ***?
No.
Okay i understand why they do this and i love Arkham City but i get barring multiplayer but singleplayer content is down right outrageous.........that being said i hope companies dont do this and im still looking forward too this game!!
