Nintendo Announces NY Comic-Con Lineup

by Jeff Marchiafava on Oct 05, 2011 at 09:10 AM

Are you lucky enough to be attending this year's New York Comic-Con? Today Nintendo revealed what games you'll be playing.

Nintendo will have some of its most anticipated upcoming games on hand for attendees to play, including The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword and Pokemon Rumble Blast. Additionally, the company has two special events planned.

On October 15, Pokemon fans will be able to participate in "an expanded interactive experience," which will include hands-on time with Pokemon Rumble Blast, giveaways, a Pokemon photo booth, and – brace yourself – a special appearance by Pikachu! We hope he's not a jerk in real life like most celebrities...

If you're a Professor Layton fan instead, Nintendo will be debuting an animated feature film entitled Professor Layton and the Eternal Diva on October 14. There will also be trivia contests and hands-on time with Professor Layton and the Last Specter. It's worth noting that the Professor Layton event will be open to registered New York Comic-Con attendees only, while the Pokemon event is open to the general public. We knew Pikachu wouldn't let us down!
