The lights are on
Remedy, the developer behind the atmospheric action/horror title Alan Wake, is reportedly hard at work on the sequel. The catch? It isn't even for the current console generation…if you believe the rumors.
According to a report from CVG, the latest issue of Xbox World hints that Remedy (along with Lionhead, Rare, and Turn 10) has started working on the next wave of Microsoft hardware, saying: "We hear a number of Microsoft-friendly developers are hard at work on prepping next gen games as we speak. Could this be the reason why Remedy are so quiet about Alan Wake 2? (Yes)."
Remedy has certainly expressed the desire to work on more Alan Wake, and no one should be surprised that Microsoft wants some studios producing next-gen titles. Even so, keep this info filed squarely in the "rumor" category for the time being.

I could believe this. Given how much Remedy has put into the story and that we'll likely see the next consoles in 2014, this would make sense. Instead of putting it out near the end of the 360, release it a year or two after the next one and deliver a new experience. Regardless, a sequel would make me happy so I'll wait as long as I have to.
I don't care which system it's on because I will play it. I highly enjoyed the first one.
PLEASE!!!!!
I completely forgot about that game, now I kinda want to play it again. Maybe I'll pick it up when the sequel's coming around.
