The lights are on
Update: The "amazing" announcement pertaining to Nier isn't related to a sequel. Instead, it's a concert to be held only in Japan on October 28. That isn't bad news, considering that Nier's soundtrack is one of its highlights...but the announcement is probably a bit disappointing for fans who were hoping for another game installment.
Original Story:Nier has an audience of deserved fans, but it didn't seem to quite make the impact that demanded a follow-up when it released in 2010. Yosuke Saito, the producer of the game, is dropping hints on Twitter that there may be some news about Nier tomorrow.A sequel to Nier is the obvious assumption, but it really could be anything. All Saito said was that there could be an amazing announcement soon, and then he tagged his tweet with the hashtag #Nier.Joe Juba didn't get too excited about Nier when he reviewed it, but our reader review score is pretty high. What do you think? Do you want to play more Nier?[via Siliconera]

I trusted Juba with Valkyrie Chronicles and he was right. So I trusted Juba again and passed on Neir, but if there is new on a sequel I might have pick it up on amazon.
haven't played this but might rent it.
I heard its ***' depressing. I'll get it.
I just came to say, “**** you, Hilliard," for that title.
That is all.
Looks very good from the back. haha
I never experienced an eye twister up until now.
Nier was a good game imo and heres hoping for a sequel.
I've always wanted to play Nier. Just never got around to it and still not sure if I ever will.
Yes dear god yes! Either an expansion DLC or a sequel don't care take my money for more Nier!
Loved Nier would love to see another one. The storyline & music was fantastic
Of course, why not? :D
I picked it up new for $20 a while back. Unfortunately, even after 3 or 4 months it's still in its shrink-wrap.
My backlog is massive, yet I keep buying games. What's wrong with me?
Nier is a good game.... Maybe I should pick it up for cheap now.... Hmmm.
Interesting. I haven't checked this out, but a friend of mine said it was good. Of course, he loved the opening. I'm not even sure he played past that. So I'm not sure what to think. What I've read about it seems like minor issues I could deal with, and enjoy it for what it is. I'll try it some day.
Would love to see another Nier...with music that is just as awesome!!
alleteration ftw! love the headline
