Sony Releases Mysterious Reference-Filled Video
Sony has released a teaser video online that is loaded with references to PlayStation games, past and present. The atmospheric clip ends by flashing October 5, 2011, on the screen. What could Sony be planning?
PlayStation VP of just about everything Kevin Butler tweeted a YouTube link to the clip, saying "Shhh…I've got a little something special for you. But let's keep this between me and the 107,000 of you."
You can see it for yourself below. It starts off in a fairly straightforward manner, with a group of soldiers parachuting into a dark forest and making their way to a shelter. Upon closer inspection, however, you'll probably spot a number of things that are kind of off. For instance, there's Sweet Tooth's ride parked in front of the building, and a glimpse of PaRappa in the booth near the woman that the soldiers meet. It seems likely that this is just a tease to Sony's upcoming holiday ad blitz, but we can always dream. At any rate, we'll certainly know more in about a week. In the meantime, keep you finger hovered over that pause button and report your findings in the comments.
