Ubisoft Announces Winner Of AC Revelations Theme Song Contest

by Jeff Marchiafava on Sep 25, 2011 at 01:54 PM

Forget American Idol. Ubisoft held its own contest to choose a singer for the Assassin's Creed Revelations theme song, and today the company announced a winner. Read on to find out who the lucky singer is, and to hear the performance that won her the gig.

Ubisoft identifies the winner simply as Madeline, and you can listen to her performance here. User votes landed Madeline in the top ten, but it was a jury comprised of composers Hans Zimmer, Lorne Balfe, and Simon Landry who made the final decision. Here's the jury's official explanation for picking Madeline:

"We chose Madeline because we felt that she had a quality in her voice that inspired and moved us all. This was never going to be a contest about right or wrong, but about the 'perfect fit' and we were all deeply impressed with the submissions. The overwhelming response clearly proves that we made the right decision to find a voice among the Assassin's Creed fan community, and that there is a lot of undiscovered talent out there that deserves to be heard."

Our congratulations to Madeline!
