Release Date For Downloadable Crysis Announced

EA pleasantly surprised PS3 and Xbox 360 owners earlier this month when it announced that the original Crysis will be coming to consoles as a downloadable title. The pleasant surprises keep on coming, as now EA has confirmed the release date for the port, which won't take long to get here.

Crysis will be available on PSN and XBLA on October 4, just a little over a week from now. The game will only set players back $20, but the one downside is that the downloadable title is just the single-player campaign -- not that many people played Crysis for the multiplayer anyway.

Are console gamers ready to see what all the fuss over Crysis is about? Or are there newer, fancier games on your radar?

    Sad that it comes out same day as RAGE. The low price is nice however, so I might get later down the road.

    This will have to wait... Dark Souls will be the only game I'm playing early October.

    Definitely interested though... Really enjoyed Crysis 2.

    Dark Souls, besides not really interested in the Crysis franchise cause it honestly didn't grab my attention.

    While there are definitely bigger games on my to do list, I was waiting to play the second one until I could play the first so, this is good news!

    I already paid for it on PC, and played it with an XBOX gamepad so Ill probably pass. :/

    I picked up Crysis 2. While it was impressive in gameplay and graphics quality, story development was nearly non-existent and the mission structure seriously lacked variety. It's too bad, the game seemed like it could have been something really special. Instead, it's just another over-rated FPS.

    I wanna buy this, but with all the AAA releases and $20 HD remakes its getting kinda hard. Plus the fact that I'm in college and my time being able to play games is starting to shorten.

    Yes!!!!! I played it on my cousins PC all the time when it came out!! Now i can finally play it on my xbox!!!!
