Minecraft Fans Recreate Ridiculously Large Tetris Game

by Jeff Marchiafava on Sep 24, 2011 at 01:29 PM

The Minecraft players over at MinecraftA2Z don't need the Adventure Update to keep them busy. While the rest of us have been fooling around with 1.8, these devoted fans put together a pixel-perfect recreation of the original Game Boy, complete with everyone's favorite puzzle game.

The first video below shows the final product of their labor of love, a stop motion animation of a classic game of Tetris. The second video is even more entertaining. It's a behind-the-scenes look at its creation, containing some fun tidbits about the project, such as the fact that they used 178,621 blocks of wool to pull off the Game Boy's iconic look.

Share your love with the creators over at their website.
