The lights are on
David Lynch's 1990 television series Twin Peaks stands as one of the greatest -- and certainly the most bizarre -- major network TV show ever. Now, and ingenious fan has recreated the show in the style of an Atari 2600 game. So, descend back into the madness of The Black Lodge, in a slightly more pixelated form than you remember. The game, Black Lodge, was a labor of love for creator Jak Locke. Here's a description from the game's manual:A day in the FBI was never like this before! You are Special Agent Dale Cooper and you’ve found yourself trapped inside of the Black Lodge, a surreal and dangerous place between worlds.
Try as you might, you can’t seem to find anything but the same room and hallway no matter which way you turn. Worse yet, your doppelganger is in hot pursuit! You have no choice but to keep running through the room and hallway (or is it more than one?) and above all else, don’t let your doppelganger touch you! Your extensive physical training in the FBI will provide you a seemingly limitless supply of energy to run as long as necessary, but running out of breath is the least of your worries!
You’ll find quickly that you’re not alone in the Black Lodge, though your friends are few and far between. Not only that, the lodge itself seems to be actively trying to trip you up at all times! You’ll be dodging chairs and crazed Lodge residents all while trying to keep your own insanity. How long can this go on?
No time to think of that now – here comes that doppelganger again. Just keep on running through the curtains or it will surely be curtains for you!
Who killed Laura Palmer? Maybe you can finally crack the case.
Download the game for free (it's available on both PC and Mac) and read more on it at Welcome To Twin Peaks.

This is a formica table... green is its color.
Wow, I want to check this out. I started watching Twin Peaks once. It was... interesting.
Sweet! Time to play a game!
One of my favorite shows of all time. I find this to be extremely cool.
I love stuff like this. Definitely a download.
I had a friend up at college who was a huge Lynch fan, me and him ended up watching the entirety of Twin Peaks (every season of the show and the movie) as well as Eraserhead, Inland Empire, Muhlholland Drive, Crazy Hearts, and Blue Velvet.
I remember liking Lynch's balance between existential, horror, and just downright odd concepts but I don't think I could handle a video game based off his work.
This game is hilarious though! "I did not kill anybody" sounds better on an Atari for sure :D
Twin Peaks...didn't somebody put this in the issue for TV and games?
I miss Twin Peaks. Especially Lynch's role as everyone's favorite Gordan Cole. It'd be nice if he still lived in Missoula too...
I loved Twin Peaks growing up.
